Post-yard work post

Dallin and I spontaneously spent a few hours on our yard this afternoon. Trimmed some overhanging branches, mowed and raked the section of our side yard trying to become a forest, raked up a bunch of those cursed tree pods that are all over our lot, moved some big rocks that were in weird places on our lawn, and so on. Found a bunch of ants. Met our neighbors with the pretty garden. All in all, a very productive day.

The most productive part, however, laid in the planning that was done during this time spent outside. As included in a previous post, we have many projects coming up that need some groundwork. Today was basically spent hashing out our timeline and the nitty-gritty details of how all our projects need to line up; in order for us to move our fence we first need to cut down certain plants, but the fence needs to be moved before we can start on the fire pit, etc.

All this can be summed up in this nice checklist provided by my fantastic new planner/bullet journal/calendar (courtesy of Mormon Mom Planner—a serious life-changer, even though I’m not a mom). See for yourself!

P.S. If anyone knows of good (affordable!) dumpster rental companies in the area, please share!
